Heart Disease Clinic
We run a specialised clinic for patients
who are diagnosed with coronary heart disease or who have factors
putting them at risk of heart disease, with input from both Doctors and
Practice nurses.
Your Doctor will initiate tests and investigations, and ensure you are
prescribed medication where necessary. The Practice Nurse is responsible
for arranging regular monitoring, and will help with lifestyle changes
such as diet, exercise and smoking cessation.
All patients are called annually for an assessment which includes blood
tests, and the results are sent to your GP who will arrange further
review if necessary.
Dr Grant is the Lead GP for this service.
