Travel Vaccinations
Our Practice Nurses are able to offer
vaccinations to patients travelling abroad to help prevent against a
wide range of diseases. We can also offer advice on malaria prophylaxis.
Please note that, because some vaccinations require multiple doses and
in order to gain maximum immunity, we recommend that patients consult us
at least 8 weeks before they are due to travel.
It is helpful if patients bring with them to their initial consultation
a completed Foreign Travel form, as this helps our Nurses to identify
which vaccinations are necessary. A copy of the form can be downloaded

Some travel vaccinations are available free of charge as an NHS service,
but many are not funded by the NHS and must therefore be paid for on a
private basis. Our nurses are able to provide details of the charges
involved.
