Clinics & Services
Antenatal Care
We offer antenatal care in conjunction with the Community Midwifery Team, who hold regular clinics in the surgery. We encourage shared care between the doctor and the Midwife, and you will therefore be seen regularly throughout the course of pregnancy.
Please note that this practice does not encourage home births due to the distance to the nearest hospital with obstetric facilities.
Asthma/COPD Clinic
Our nurse-led clinic provides regular monitoring, support and advice to all patients with chronic chest conditions, and aims to ensure that appropriate treatments are in place to minimise symptoms and improve quality of life as much as possible. Patients are normally reviewed annually, but will be seen more frequently if their condition and symptoms require it.
The Lead nurse for this clinic is Ruth Parkinson and the Lead GP is Dr Scott Perkins.
Baby/Postnatal Checks
We review mums and babies at approximately 8 weeks after the birth, usually on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 14:30 and 15:30. New mums will be sent an information card giving details of their postnatal appointment and their baby's first development check. This appointment will be with either Dr Cusack or Dr Lloyd.
This is also the time when we carry out the first course of baby immunisations.
